Currently we are contracted with Tri Counties Regional Center (TCRC) and Westside Regional Center (WRC) for early intervention services.

Speech Flow is not in-network with any private insurances at this time. We know this can be barrier to accessing therapy for many families, therefore we try to make private pay rates affordable as possible. The benefits of private pay include:

• No waitlist to begin therapy

• No required preauthorization or doctor referrals

• Personalized, boutique-style treatment with a close relationship with the therapist

• No surprise charges or bills due to navigating the health insurance maze

We do provide superbills and considered an “out-of-network” provider that you can submit to your insurance. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your insurance plan’s out-of-network benefits/deductible.

Speech Flow is a small, boutique private practice designed for families who want thoughtful, specialized care—not a one-size-fits-all approach. I specialize in:

• Early communication development for infants and toddlers (2 months old-3 years old)

• Speech sound disorders across all ages

• Myofunctional therapy for children (age 4 and up), teens, and adults.

Because families are choosing to invest in private services—especially in San Luis Obispo County, where access to quality speech care can be limited—I work closely with you to ensure meaningful progress happens efficiently. Sessions are highly individualized, and home programs are realistic, personalized, and built to fit your family’s schedule.

SPEECH THERAPY

• Full Speech and Myofunctional Evaluation (90 minutes) = $400

• Speech Therapy Session (45 minutes) = $120

• Speech Therapy Monthly Bundle (4 sessions) = $420 per month

Speech therapy clients are typically seen once a week for 20-40 sessions depending on severity.

MYOFUNCTIONAL THERAPY

• Orofacial Myofunctional Evaluation (60 minutes) = $300

• Myofunctional Therapy Session (30-45 minutes) = $105

The “Myo” program is for ages 8 years old and up. The program typically lasts 12-16 sessions. This is dependent on a patent nasal airway (no nasal obstructions such as untreated allergies, deviated septum, enlarged turbinates, adenoids or tonsils), adequate palatal space (no permanent orthodontic expansion devices in place or untreated narrow/vaulted palate), and appropriate oral musculature (no significant tethered oral tissue impacting function). Referrals to appropriate providers such as ENT, orthodontist, allergist, etc. are made during the initial evaluation.

BABBLE BOOT CAMP©

• Babble Boot Camp Evaluation (60 minutes) = $250

• BBC Therapy Session, In-Office (45 minutes) = $120

• BBC Therapy Session, Virtual (20 minutes) = $60

The Babble Boot Camp© is designed for infants starting at 2 months old to toddlers aged 3 years old. It implements a parent coaching model which can be provided in-person or virtually through HIPAA-compliant GoogleMeet. Virtual sessions are highly dependent on parents sending 3-4 short video clips of their child for analysis and coaching. Typically clients are seen every other week, or twice a month, and up to 10-12 sessions total depending on severity.

Therapy sessions include 30-40 minutes of direct individual therapy with the client, then 5-10 minutes developing a home program or “homework exercises” to complete daily.

Homework is required to be completed in order to make adequate progress. We try to make this efficient as possible by recording videos during sessions, writing down and providing specific activities or worksheets to use during your daily routine. It should take approximately 5-10 minutes daily.

The therapy itself is tailored to you or your child’s needs and interests. We utilize a play-based and child-led approach implementing a variety of toys, games, books, music, and oral motor activities. We make therapy fun so our clients are motivated to attend!

In-home sessions are available on a limited basis on Mondays.

Early intervention sessions through TCRC are typically in-home or in the community.

No referrals or preauthorizations are needed to begin. A copy of the initial evaluation report can be securely faxed to any providers (pediatrician, ENT, dentist, etc.) for patient collaboration.
